Job Description:
A company is looking for a General Counsel responsible for
ensuring compliance with regulations and providing legal
guidance.
Key Responsibilities
Advise senior management on various legal issues related to
nonprofit governance, compliance, and contracts
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements with external
partners
Participate in strategic planning and provide insights on risk
management and insurance matters
Required Qualifications
Juris Doctorate degree with 3 - 5 years of experience in nonprofit
contracts administration or compliance roles
Experience in nonprofit governance and union engagement
Strong understanding of nonprofit law and tax regulations for
tax-exempt organizations
Experience in researching and communicating legal matters
effectively to a lay audience
Supervisory experience preferred
