DESCRIPTION
$10,000 hiring bonus for individuals with a minimum of 18 months of
full-time employment as a Paramedic
Recruitments posted as "Continuous" are subject to close at any
time following an initial two-week posting period. Upon closing,

to the applicants regarding the status of their application.
Under general supervision, this classification is responsible for
operating an ambulance responding to primarily Inter-Facility
transfers; providing basic medical care to the ill and injured; and
providing patient transport services. The primary responsibility of
this classification is for operating an ambulance and providing
basic medical care and transport of patients. This classification
is distinguished from the Emergency Medical Technician (Basic) in
that the latter does not perform as advanced medical care. In
addition, the Paramedic functions in a lead capacity over the EMT
(Basic). It is also distinguished from the Emergency Ambulance
Operator classification in that the latter responds primarily to
911 calls, and has Fireground Support Functions responsibilities
when assigned. Employees hired into this classification are
part-time, temporary employees. They are at-will with limited
benefits.
